grace! What wondrous sound!

It comforts

soothes our hearts;

Its echo in all heav’n resounds

Heard in earth’s farthest parts.

We by grace are saved!

’Tis true gospel’s key.

Sinners through His death are saved

E’en sinners such as me.

In Christ

grace hidden is;

Its wealth

none can relate;

Redemption it accomplishes

To thus emancipate.

By grace my sin’s redeemed;

By grace I’ve been forgiv’n

To see His glorious face esteemed

Enjoy the peace of heav’n.

Grace life imparts to me;

I with God’s nature bloom;

A vassal of His name I’ll be

Set free from Hades’ gloom.
