Make Your abode within my deepest part!

Lord

may Your Spirit make His home in me

Thus all my being Your abode will be.

Your Spirit with my spirit is the key—

A mutual dwelling place for You and me!

By this organic union that we share

We have become by grace one loving pair.

By faith I have been joined to You

dear Lord

Now our two spirits are in one accord!

Thus joined and mingled

I abide in You

In thought

intention

and in all I do.

“Abide in Me and I’ll abide in you

”

Both a commandment and a promise true!

We may much fruit unto the Father bear

As we abide in Him whose life we share.
