Moment by moment

ceaselessly

entire.

As branch is joined with vine organically

I deeply long

Lord

to abide in Thee.

Abide in Thee! Thy wealth enjoy and know

That all Thou art

Lord

out through me may flow;

I’d be a branch that

ever fresh in Thee

Shows forth Thy life

bears fruit continually.

Abide in Thee! Nor doubt

nor self

nor sin

Can e’er prevail with Thy blest life within;

Joined to Thyself

communing deep

my soul

Is fully in the Spirit’s blest control.

Abide in Thee! Thy heart’s desire I see—

In Thy sweet presence

learn each mystery;

With joy and peace I’m filled and overflow—

By Thy rich Word supplied

empow’red to grow.
