A Solemn Day Is Coming

Composer: P. P. Orr, 1914

O a solemn day is coming

When I’ll stand before the throne

While each sin that I’ve committed

Shall for judgment be made known.

O a solemn day is coming!

Are my sins all washed away?

Shall I be accounted faithful

And with Jesus dwell for aye?

O I think of loved ones waiting

On the happy

peaceful shore;

Shall I be prepared to meet them

When the toils of life are o’er?

Have I warned the lost of danger

As they tread the paths of sin

Telling of the blessèd Savior

Who has died their souls to win?

Father

let me never falter

In the straight and narrow way

That I may be ready

watching

When shall come that solemn day.

Have I warned the lost of danger

As they tread the paths of sin

Telling of the blessèd Savior

Who has died their souls to win?

Father

let me never falter

In the straight and narrow way

That I may be ready

watching

When shall come that solemn day.

Father

let me never falter

In the straight and narrow way

That I may be ready

watching

When shall come that solemn day.
