A Message of Hope

There’s a mes­sage full of hope

For the pe­ni­tents who mourn

With a heart of sor­row weep­ing o’er their sin;

For our bless­èd Lord has said

He that com­eth un­to Me

I will nev­er cast away

but take him in.

Christ can save and keep

we know;

He will wash as white as snow

’Tis a mes­sage full of hope;

Tell it out wher­e’er you go.

There’s a mes­sage full of hope

Tho’ their ma­ny sins ap­pear

Like a mount­ain reach­ing up­ward to the sky

And the spir­it low may sink

’Neath the bur­den

in des­pair

And they fear that no de­liv­er­er is nigh.

There’s a mes­sage full of hope

When at last we bid fare­well

To our friends and all those earth­ly scenes for aye;

For the Mas­ter we have loved

Is the Pi­lot who will guide

All the faith­ful to the land of end­less day.
