A Great Day in Zion

Composer: Albert Grove, 1903

Oh! what a great day in Zion ’twill be—

When over the river

We safely have crossed;

We’ll meet our dear friends

Our loved ones we’ll see

Unknown to the world that is lost.

What a great day in Zion ’twill be—

When we have crossed o’er Jordan’s swift tide

Our voices will blend with angels in glee

While hovering by His dear side.

Oh! what a great day in Zion ’twill be—

When souls shall be happy

As never before;

From heartaches and sorrow we shall be free

When safely we land on yon shore.

Oh! what a great day in Zion ’twill be—

’Mid sounding of trumpets

With harp in our hand;

With angels of light

the glories we’ll see—

Of Heaven

the paradise land.
