’Tis Now in Part

’Tis now in part I know the Lord

I see Him in His writ­ten word

I see Him mir­rored in His grace:

But oh! to see Him face to face.

Then I shall know as I am known

And glo­ry give to Him alone;

Then I shall know as I am known

’Tis now in part I know His love

Which brought Him from the realms ab­ove;

But

oh! to reach that bliss­ful sphere

And from His lips the sto­ry hear.

’Tis now in part I know His hand

Which leads me thro’ this des­ert land;

But oh! to stand be­fore His throne

With ev­ery dark­en­ing sha­dow flown.

’Tis now in part I know His joy

My strength when anx­ious fears an­noy;

But oh! to see Him as He is

My rap­tured heart pressed close to His.
